The chief requested that collected fees be coded to a specific project code so funds can be retained year to year to build a self-sustaining training program; he said the fees are modest initially to encourage participation by agencies that cannot otherwise afford training.
The ordinance was read in abbreviated form for second and third readings, adopted on the third reading, and the board voted to attach the emergency clause by roll call. No projected revenue estimate was provided at the meeting.
