Senate committee files three committee measures for 2026 short session

Vice Chair Hayden moved that LC 20 20 (dated Jan. 9, 2026), LC 178 (dated Jan. 9, 2026) and LC 155 (dated Dec. 22, 2025) be filed as committee bills. Chair Taylor said that a yes vote to file does not indicate support for bill content and that the filing was a procedural step to meet the short-session calendar. Senator Majesen confirmed LC 155 was a placeholder; the motion carried with no objection and no roll-call vote was recorded.
