Appointments: The board reappointed Richard Freeman to the Eastern Shore Community Service Board by voice vote.
Streets: Public works staff recommended conditional acceptance of Bayview Lane and Eaglet Lane in Eagle Sound Subdivision so the county may request that VDOT add the roads to the secondary-state system; the board approved the conditional acceptance and authorized forwarding the VDOT request.
Conveyances: The board approved conveyance in fee simple of two parcels (tax-map parcels in the MELFA industrial park) to the Hampton Roads Sanitation District pursuant to an existing sewer-transfer and service agreement; one of the related public hearings was continued to the January 2026 meeting at the board’s motion.
Other motions and procedural items: The board approved minutes, amended the FY 2026 budget (for a separate item), approved payables, and moved several agenda items as announced by the chair.
All of these items were approved by voice vote; no public speakers signed up for the related public hearings.
