"That's exactly what we're doing. We're saying that we are gonna provide transportation services," a commissioner said while framing the resolution and noting the packet includes estimated federal, state, local and farebox funding amounts. The motion to adopt the intent resolution carried by voice vote.
Staff presented the MDOT/FTA certifications and said the master agreement provisions had been reviewed; the commission voted to authorize the mayor to execute those documents. Commissioners confirmed the transit master plan and related grant materials are available on the city website and that public hearings on the master plan will be held by the Planning Commission on Feb. 2. The transit resolutions authorize staff to proceed with the applications and certifications needed to pursue state and federal assistance for Alma Transit.
