Great Valley board approves consent agenda, personnel and facilities items; as‑built survey for 5–6 center set at $15,750

At its Jan. 20 meeting, the Great Valley School Board approved multiple routine and facilities items in a series of motions, recording unanimous tallies for several votes.

Consent agenda: After one correction to an attachment for the GASB 75 valuation services (board member Mrs. McGivney said the service cap remains $8,000 but the attachment shows an increase in an hourly rate from $5 to $10), the board moved to approve consent agenda items 8.01 through 8.25. The chair recorded the motion as passing with a tally reported as "9 to nothing." The agenda included the GASB 75 valuation services attachment update; the services themselves were said to remain capped at $8,000.

Personnel and policy items: The board approved personnel item 10.01 by a recorded vote of "9 to nothing." The board also approved policies for first reading under item 11.01, after confirming a remote member's participation; the motion passed with a reported tally of "9 to nothing." No substantive policy amendments were adopted during first reading.

Facilities item: Under facilities, item 13.01 sought approval for an as‑built survey required by East Whiteland Township for the district's 5–6 center at a stated cost of $15,750. Board members confirmed the drawings discussed matched the request, and the motion to approve 13.01 passed with a reported tally of "9 to nothing."

Registration/system note: In committee reports, staff and trustees discussed the district’s transition from Skyward to Infinite Campus and said kindergarten registration will be later than typical — likely opening in March to early April — so families can register in the new system for the 2026–27 school year.

What’s next: Approved items will be implemented per district procedure; staff indicated more information on the Infinite Campus rollout and equity‑plan budgeting will be discussed in follow‑up meetings.
