City updates council on Vineyard reservoir repair; contractor coordination pushes work into spring

Michael Hobbs of City Engineering Services said Kennedy Jenks will come back with an updated schedule and that no immediate council action to approve additional funds is required now. Council members agreed that because the repair work is now trending into the spring season, there is time for the contractor and the engineer of record to coordinate and for staff to provide a full cost estimate before the council approves additional expenditures.
Council expects to receive the updated schedule and cost estimate before approving the total expenditure and asked staff to track time spent and contract obligations so total project costs remain transparent.
