Ferrari said the ADA portion of the project is estimated at $28,500 and the applicant requested $14,250 (a 50% match) under the building improvement grant program.
Ferrari told the board the application met the minimum average score for the round (55 points, above the staff-set minimum of 50) but acknowledged that the packet did not include the individual evaluator scores or a full rubric breakdown. Multiple board members asked for transparency and for the staff to provide the detailed evaluator scoring and clarification about whether the ADA work primarily affects the doorway, stairwell, or other elements. One member noted the packet language implying stair improvements was misleading if the doorway is the primary ADA change.
Staff agreed to bring back the individual scoring sheets and to evaluate the full scope of ADA improvements for the project before the agency makes a decision; the agency did not vote to approve the grant that night and tabled the item for a future meeting.
