The Los Alamos County Council took several procedural actions at its Aug. 19 work session.
Early in the meeting councilors moved to approve the agenda; the motion was seconded and the agenda was approved by raised hands and recorded as unanimous. Later, Councilor Rainey moved and Councilor Hahn seconded a motion to suspend council procedural rules so that formal action could be taken at the work session; the clerk conducted a roll call and the motion passed unanimously with Councilor Hammitt noted as absent.
The council also moved to approve the minutes for the July 29 and Aug. 5 regular sessions; Councillor Reedy moved, Councillor Herman seconded, and a roll call recorded unanimous approval. These items were procedural and did not change policy; they clear the way for staff presentations and subsequent actions during the session.
