County proclaims National Cleanup Day and designates September as voter-registration month

The Los Alamos County Council used its presentations docket on Sept. 9 to issue two proclamations.
Councilor Hammond read a proclamation designating Sept. 20, 2025 as National Cleanup Day in Los Alamos, acknowledging that the county’s environmental services division has organized a local cleanup for more than two decades and encouraging residents to register by Sept. 12 so supplies can be provided.
Councilor Rady read a proclamation designating September 2025 as voter registration month and Sept. 16, 2025 as voter registration day in Los Alamos, noting same-day registration in the state and outreach by the League of Women Voters, which planned registration events.
