Council notified of FY27 grant cut and upcoming application deadlines

She said the council intends to go before county council on Jan. 27 to seek approval of a resolution and a statement of assurances related to the FY27 application. Sarah reminded members that the application deadline is Feb. 26 and asked for three to five letters of support; she said she will seek five letters and will distribute requests by email.
Sarah also reviewed the draft meeting calendar and said the council’s first meeting in 2026 is tentatively scheduled for Jan. 8; members noted potential conflicts and said staff will confirm availability.
Next steps: staff to request letters of support, confirm meeting dates and present the resolution to county council on Jan. 27.
