Erie council approves consent agenda including town prosecutor and town attorney appointments

Erie — At the start of its Nov. 4 special meeting the Erie Town Council approved a multi-item consent agenda that included proclamations and several administrative appointments and contracts.

Items read into the record included a Native American Heritage Month proclamation and a Veterans Day proclamation. The consent agenda listed a resolution (25,574) appointing Asmus Las Firm PC as the town prosecutor effective Dec. 1, 2025 and approving an associated professional services agreement; another resolution (25,575) appointing Bridal Meng as Erie town attorney effective Dec. 1, 2025 and approving the employment agreement; and a professional services agreement with Hoffman Park Wilson & Carberry, PC for legal services. Other consent items covered amendments to construction contracts for the Schofield Barn rehabilitation, a professional services agreement for North Water Treatment Facility depot injection design, and a multimodal I‑25 interchange study agreement with WSB LLC, among others.

After a motion and second the council approved the consent agenda by voice vote; the mayor declared the motion carried. No public comment was taken during the consent-agenda vote.

Next steps: Individual items in the consent agenda (contract amendments, professional services agreements and budget certifications) will be administered by the appropriate town departments consistent with the agreements approved by council.
