The Middletown Planning Commission opened its first meeting of 2026 by confirming leadership and procedural appointments.
Commissioners voted to reappoint Will Parsons as chair and approved a self-nomination for vice chair. The body also approved AJ Mento as the commission’s representative to the Board of Zoning Appeals and reappointed Roger Daniel to the historic commission. Commissioners then approved meeting minutes for October, November and December 2025.
The elections and appointments were presented as routine organizational items to establish representation for the year. Several members noted the importance of continuity for board assignments, and votes were recorded as affirmative by the commissioners present. The commission also excused the absence of one commissioner, Will Parsons, for the meeting.
