Hortonville swears in new police officer Jack Johnson

The Village of Hortonville board formally swore in Jack Johnson as a police officer. During the swearing‑in, Johnson affirmed support for the U.S. and Wisconsin constitutions and pledged to faithfully and impartially discharge the duties of the office.
Police Chief Brian reported the department is at or near full staffing and said Johnson will begin field training Monday. Chief Brian noted recent recruitment and retention discussions from a sheriffs and chiefs conference but reported local staffing levels are in a good position.
