Daniel Barrios of the Department of Conservation and Development presented the staff recommendation. He said the parcel met the 100‑acre minimum for an agricultural preserve and the 40‑acre minimum for a Williamson Act contract on non‑prime soils. The owners intend to continue cattle grazing on the property, a use staff said was consistent with the Williamson Act and county policies.
No applicant or public commenters appeared at the hearing and staff noted no additional comments beyond the presentation. Chair Diane Burgess moved to close the hearing and bring the item back for decision; the motion was seconded and the board approved the action.
What happens next: the county will record the land‑conservation contract and the property will be subject to the Williamson Act terms noted in staff materials.
