Linn County approves camera replacement with Baker Group, awards courthouse remodel and extends plat filing for EMS district

Courthouse remodel: Staff reported they opened four bids for the courthouse interior remodeling; while Garland Construction was identified as the apparent low bidder at opening, the resolution before the board awarded the project to Gurney Construction for $722,000, which includes a base bid plus an alternate of about $26,000. The board approved the resolution awarding the contract.
Lisbon–Mount Vernon EMS district: County staff explained Snyder and Associates delivered a preliminary plat and report within the statutory 30-day deadline, but the auditor requested clarifications related to property taxation and elections. The board voted to extend the filing period through Jan. 9 to allow Snyder to revise the document before the public hearing and voter notification steps.
