The district has started a soft launch of ParentSquare, trained principals and expects phased campus onboarding in February with full district adoption planned March 2; features include translations and two‑way messaging.
Julie Johnson, executive director of technology services, updated trustees on the district’s transition to ParentSquare, a unified communications platform.
Johnson said the district performed a soft launch in December to train principals and piloted the system at several campuses. She reported strong early interest from principals and teachers, and said the district expects first parent communications to start within weeks and full campus rollouts through February, with district‑wide use targeted for March 2. The platform supports translations, two‑way messaging, web/SMS/app access and newsletter features; the communications team will provide guidance to families about the difference between ParentSquare (engagement/communications) and Skyward (administrative records).
Johnson encouraged campuses to post in both legacy platforms and ParentSquare during the transition so families can migrate smoothly.
