Another commissioner asked whether the salt purchase was covered by a state contract; staff confirmed the state contract was in effect for the item discussed.
Both procurement measures were adopted by voice vote. Commissioners said the stabilized chemical prices were positive for the budget and that staff would return with engineering proposals or additional procurement details for related projects as needed.
