The mayor thanked volunteers and organizers for the holiday parade and introduced city event planner Vandy Pate, who said the parade featured "over 100 floats" and previewed monthly community events for the year, a new newsletter, and a blog. Pate encouraged residents to register for limited-capacity classes and events and noted the city is expanding online information through the website. Saunders added that full council agendas are being distributed and meetings will be archived on the city YouTube channel.
The proclamation and project updates were presented as part of the mayor's report; council did not take further action on the projects during the meeting.
