Senator Foyle thanked Edemerson for her leadership and accepted the nomination, saying, "Thank you, madam chair, for your leadership, and I hope to maintain the level you've set for this committee for the next 2 years." He then nominated Representative Emerson to serve as the committee's vice chair. Members raised no objections and the nominations were closed by acclamation.
