Committee advances bill allowing Special Olympics participation to satisfy PE credit

Public commenters, including parents and nonprofit representatives, waived in support and speakers framed the bill as creating more inclusive opportunities and reducing administrative confusion for families. The committee debated in support and approved CS for SB 556 by roll call; the committee reported the bill favorably.
