The property has been rented to Worthwhile Talent at $1 per month on a 30‑day no‑cause termination arrangement; staff said the agency does not have a business need to retain it and it is unlikely to generate significant income for the agency.
Member Byers moved and the board seconded a motion to declare the property surplus and direct staff to offer it for sale. The motion passed on roll call. Several members asked that staff make every effort to include the current occupant in the sale process and provide ample notice to avoid the appearance of abrupt eviction; staff agreed to keep the tenant informed and to provide timing details when available.
Chair and staff said the next administrative step would be to list the property with a local broker if the board supports that approach.
