Eric Jennings, government relations counsel for the Supreme Court appearing on behalf of the Judicial Conference of Missouri, told the House Judiciary Committee that House Bill 2458 had been discussed in prior sessions and had been combined with other measures before failing to reach final passage.
"Representative Nolan had, succinctly described everything with this bill," Jennings said, adding that staff would continue to identify remaining inconsistent statutory references as needed.
The committee invited other witnesses; seeing none, the chair closed the public hearing on HB 2458. No committee vote or further action was recorded at that time.
