Emergency manager Mike Grierson said the module will help county staff collect damage information in the format FEMA requires during the 30‑day window after an incident, which can help secure federal assistance.
Perera presented a staff memo showing a total contract cost of $128,841.89 and a year‑one payment of $41,684.26; funding is allocated in the Technology Services contracted‑services account. After brief questions about the new module’s capabilities, the board approved a resolution authorizing the contract by voice vote.
The vendor and contract term were presented as a means to improve the county’s speed and accuracy in damage assessments and FEMA grant processing for future incidents.
