Board continues Chopper Industrial Park plat to address road classification

Staff reported the project proposes to create 10 lots on approximately 15.2 acres and that the road configuration requires clarification before further action.
Petitioner representative Craig Bennett told the board he agreed with staff and supported postponement. Neighbor Jean Holt testified she was concerned about access from the Palmer‑Wasilla Highway and supported delaying the decision to ensure clarity on the road classification and associated impacts.
With the public hearing left open for additional written comments and limited public comment at the meeting, a board member moved to continue the preliminary plat contingent on staff recommendations; the motion was amended to change the target date and carried. The item will return to the board with corrected road classification and any additional staff findings on the Feb. 19 agenda.
