Staff and the assistant town attorney said they had worked with property representatives to prepare deed-of-easement language to preserve necessary utility access and recommended approval with easements reserved.
Council members who had served on the ad hoc property committee reported prior support for the conveyance. A motion to adopt an ordinance vacating the right-of-way and to accept the related deed of easement passed on roll call with recorded ayes.
Next steps: staff will finalize the conveyance documents and record the deed and easement according to town procedures; the resolution establishing the sale price directed staff to use up to fair market value or contributory value as appropriate.
