The Brookshire City Council on Jan. 15 approved a package of routine and capital measures intended to support economic development, parks improvements and community events.
Council voted to join the Waller County Economic Development Partnership, a one‑year membership discussed by staff and councilmembers as including a voting seat for the city and a $3,500 joining cost. Mayor Richards said the partnership gives the city “a voting seat at the table,” and council approved the membership by voice vote.
