Commissioners hear Centas pitch on custodial savings, vote to table deal

He cited examples including trash-bag liners the county pays $51.36 per case for vs. Centas at $36, and paper towels listed at $69.57 per case vs. Centas at $35.76. He also described a concentrated-chemical dispensing system and said installation and routine dispenser maintenance would be included.
Commissioners asked staff to provide current budgeted amounts and flagged logistical concerns while several buildings undergo renovation. The vendor offered product samples and a trial period and agreed to follow up with county staff.
Chair asked for legal and budget review before any commitment. A motion to table consideration of the vendor’s acceptance agreement until county staff and counsel had reviewed the documents passed by voice vote (recorded as 3-0). The vendor left hard copies and said he would email follow-up materials to staff.
