Milton Parks and Recreation Advisory Board names 2026 chair, vice chair and secretary

The Milton Parks and Recreation Advisory Board on Jan. 15 appointed Jason Alberici chair, Morgan Van Gelder vice chair and Allison Katula secretary for 2026, each approved by unanimous voice vote.
Board staff opened the meeting and asked the group to nominate officers for the year. Speaker 4 nominated Jason Alberici for chair; the motion was seconded and carried after members answered "Aye." Morgan Van Gelder was nominated and approved as vice chair, and Allison Katula was nominated and approved as secretary.
The appointments concluded the board's organizational business and preceded routine procedural items, including roll call (staff noted one absence), the pledge of allegiance and approval of the Dec. 18 minutes. The board also voted to move two new-business items (items B and C) to follow public comment.
The meeting proceeded to presentations on proposed community partnerships and then to committee reports covering spring registrations, youth sports, summer camps and outdoor recreation. The board tabled final liaison assignments until its February meeting and adjourned at 6:48 p.m.
