Several council members thanked police and community responders for continuing emergency services during the period of heightened federal activity, and other members called for rapid local relief measures such as rental assistance. The council passed the resolution by roll call, 13 ayes.
The adopted resolution will be placed in the public record and transmitted to appropriate entities; council members said it is one of several steps they will pursue in response to the situation on the ground.
