Pam Harrison, library director, said the changes are intended "to clarify expectations, eliminate internal inconsistencies, and reduced administrative legal risk while preserving our core mission of prioritizing library sponsored programs and equitable public access." She told the board the draft modernizes language about who may use rooms, when rooms may be rented, payment timing and inspection procedures, and equipment availability.
