The Revere City Traffic Commission voted Jan. 15 to amend the municipal snow-removal parking schedule to add restrictions on Bradstreet Avenue and Winthrop Avenue to allow more effective plowing.
James McCurrier, Ward 1 city councilor, told the commission he has plowed Bradstreet for roughly 30 to 35 years and supports removing parking on one side so larger plow equipment can pass. The chair said staff coordinated the amendments with the police, parking department and the Department of Public Works.
Commission members moved and seconded approval for both amendments. Roll-call votes recorded Chief Levita and Tom Skowarski voting yes; the chair also voted yes, meeting the commission’s stated requirement that all three present members vote in favor for passage. Both items were approved and will be incorporated into Schedule 24 for snow removal.
The action changes on-street parking patterns in the Beachmont area to help winter maintenance; residents and drivers should expect the new restrictions to take effect following administrative posting and notification.
