Buncombe County elections office says absentee ballots are out, begins training and hires outreach coordinator

Duncan also reported training has begun: early‑voting training is underway at a county training site and election‑day staff training will follow. She announced the office hired an outreach coordinator, Rachel Wunderlich, who began work Wednesday and previously held a contract role with the Helene Resource Center; staff said they will formally introduce her at a future meeting.
The office encouraged board members to take and distribute outreach materials in their communities and to use county email accounts when conducting official business so records can be retrieved if requested.
