Wythe County supervisors approved revisions to the With Opportunity Fund performance agreement—an agreement among Wythe County, the Joint Industrial Development Authority (JIDA) and Duchess Farm Products—previously approved at a November meeting. Staff said the changes were technical and primarily adjusted dates: disbursement and closing dates were updated to Jan. 31, 2026, and certain progress-report deadlines were revised.
The agreement provides a $25,000 county grant to support Duchess Farm Products' expansion as a match to a grant the company received from the governor's agricultural and forestry and industrial development fund, according to staff. County staff reported they had worked with JIDA representatives to finalize the document and recommended the board approve execution following the meeting.
The board moved and approved the agreement by roll call. Staff indicated the effective date will follow the meeting once signatures are completed.
