High Ridge Country Club land-use change returns for second reading as $40M overhaul is proposed

Andrew Mack told the commission the High Ridge Country Club project is returning on second reading with associated right-of-way abandonment items. Staff said the package would rezone and change future land use to enable the applicant's project.
Mack described the proposal as a major renovation by the applicant and said, "they have a $40,000,000 project coming to, redo the whole entire golf course here in the next year or so." The abandonment items (8a–c) are intended to allow the applicant to expand and reconfigure the golf course and related facilities.
Staff emphasized this is a second reading and that the commission has previously heard the item; commissioners were asked whether they had questions before it is placed on the formal agenda for action. Any final approvals would be taken at the scheduled public hearing with site plans to follow as needed.
