Bill Shelio, economic development director in the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Growth (IPG), told commissioners four quotes were opened and the low bid — Richard Brothers at $28,864 — fell within a range of roughly $28,000 to $45,000. The property, held by the county and funded for demolition by the redevelopment commission (resolution noted by staff), sits adjacent to county‑owned land at the southwest corner of State Road 2 and Quince Road and was acquired as an opportunity purchase for future roadway improvements.
The board moved and seconded the award recommendation and recorded ayes to approve the demolition contract as presented.
