The Bear River Town Council voted unanimously to approve an ordinance on second reading to amend business-license requirements and enforcement provisions, and agreed to move the November council meeting from Nov. 11 to Nov. 18.
The ordinance was introduced in second reading (the transcript records the identifier unclearly; the ordinance number was not clearly recorded in the meeting record). Speaker 2 moved to approve the second reading; the motion was seconded and the council voted 'Aye' with Speaker 1 announcing the motion carried unanimously.
Separately, Speaker 1 noted that second reading is not final and reminded builders that required building permits and other planning requirements remain in force. Speaker 2 encouraged residents and builders to contact staff with questions about permit types and processes.
Earlier in the meeting the council also approved prior meeting minutes and vouchers unanimously.
The transcript does not include the final ordinance citation in clear form; the meeting record should be checked for the official ordinance number and text.
