At the Jan. 13 workshop, the Town of Bear River placed the third reading of Ordinance 2025-05 on the agenda. The ordinance is described as amending and re-adopting Ordinance 2012-01, which sets rules, regulations and requirements for animal control and enforcement.
The meeting chair asked whether anything had changed since the last meeting. One council member said, "I haven't put in a request for change, so it should be the same," and others present confirmed the document remained unchanged since prior review. Town staff indicated the ordinance had been under consideration for several months.
No formal vote on adoption was recorded during the Jan. 13 workshop. The council left the item on the agenda for the scheduled third reading; any formal adoption would be recorded in the minutes and vote tally of a later meeting when a final vote is taken.
