Town staff presented the proposed 2025–26 strategic plan and public dashboard and said the plan would be republished with updated focus-area language and action items if the board approved it. Changes include increased emphasis on downtown as a regional asset and broader language on regional partnerships beyond emergency responders. Staff said the plan guided the 2025 budget and that quarterly updates and a downtown-specific dashboard will be published.
Trustees highlighted accessibility improvements at the Frederick Recreation Area and asked staff to prioritize ADA elements where feasible; staff and trustees discussed integrating those items into upcoming parks actions. Trustee March moved to approve Resolution 25RO7 adopting the strategic plan for 2025–26; the board approved the resolution by recorded vote.
Staff said if the plan is approved they will relaunch the dashboard, update communications, and continue using mini-retreats and community input to keep the plan responsive to the town’s needs.
