Council approved an amendment to the Medford Development Code (section 10.111) to reduce the Site Plan and Architectural Commission's membership from nine to seven and to reduce the number of professional seats. Planning staff said the change responds to persistent difficulty filling certain at‑large and liaison positions and that Planning Commission and SPAC recommended the option.
Planning staff Carla Paladino said the amendment is a Type IV legislative change and that public and agency comment was minimal; the Planning Commission voted 8–0 in favor. The ordinance takes effect upon approval; staff noted one current vacancy and that member terms will phase the change in as seats expire.
Motion: "I move to approve council bill 2025-96." Roll call recorded six yes votes; the ordinance passed.
