Environmental Sustainability Board elects David Hampton chair, Eric Lachelle vice chair

The Environmental Sustainability Board held its annual leadership elections at the Jan. 15 meeting.
Nominations for chair included Sue Barnes, Eric Lachelle, Shannon Blair, David Hampton and Joe Chandler. Several nominees declined; David Hampton said he would accept the nomination and the board conducted a roll-call vote in which each member announced their choice and voted for Hampton. "In that case, I accept," Hampton said when nominated. The roll call recorded each member by name voting for David Hampton, and the chair declared him elected.
Nominations for vice chair included Shannon Blair, Eric Lachelle, Joe Chandler, David Hampton and Sue Barnes. After nominees declined or recused, the board held a roll-call vote that resulted in the election of Eric Lachelle as vice chair, with each member announcing their vote for him.
Board members thanked outgoing vice chair Sue Barnes for her service; the board moved on to regular reports and other agenda items after the elections.
