The Environmental Sustainability Board voted to approve its 2026 meeting schedule and its 2026 work plan during the Jan. 15 meeting.
Staff presented a proposed calendar that keeps the board meeting on the third Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m., normally in council chambers unless elections require relocation. "The plan would be to meet the same third Thursday of every month at 05:30," staff said. Board members checked the schedule for holiday conflicts and approved it by motion and second.
The board then reviewed an amended 2026 work plan aligned to council strategic goals. Members discussed which strategic items the board should emphasize — including infrastructure priorities such as EV chargers and resilience measures — and made a handful of edits tied to prior feedback. A motion to approve the work plan as amended passed by voice vote; the chair noted the plan will go to the county council for final approval.
Motions were moved and seconded in open session; the votes were carried by board consensus. No formal ordinances or budget allocations were adopted at the meeting.
