DestinationIQ presented analytics links, recent ad activity and an interim marketing plan as part of the county’s lodgers‑tax oversight. Lindsay Diamond (DestinationIQ) said Google Ads were launched in mid‑November and Meta ads were launched the day of the meeting; the firm will add Google Search Console and Meta performance to a live website data report the board can access.
Diamond said the firm created an interim six‑month marketing plan (November–April) to guide campaigns until a full annual marketing plan begins May 1. She described work with New Mexico True co‑op deliverables and said accounting spreadsheets recording county expenditures are available in the shared folder for transparency.
In monthly reports, Melanie (visitor services) noted missing Bandelier visitation numbers for September and the October government shutdown and said that Balloon Fiesta produced a large influx of visitors that helped Los Alamos recover October visitation levels despite attraction closures.
Ellen briefly noted a lodgers‑tax revenue report was included in the packet and available for board review. DestinationIQ and staff said future meeting packets will include expanded ad performance data and links.
