Council hears updates on youth outpatient program and new provider partnerships

Rachel said the program at a provider referred to in the transcript as “J Jabs” now offers outpatient therapy for youths ages 10–17 and their families; she said the service is free, contract-funded and includes wraparound resource specialists. Rachel said, “We currently have 22 kids in the program,” and noted the program may be able to accept more participants if funding and staffing allow.
Monica and other members described working with a provider called Ambrose (operating in the Espanola–Santa Fe area) to secure inpatient and outpatient placements and noted Ambrose’s team has assisted with jail intakes. Rachel said the council will offer space and expects to host a youth IOP starting in January; she asked members and the court to consider referrals when spots are available.
Members agreed more information about referral processes and level-of-care assessment requirements will be shared once Ambrose finalizes intake procedures. The council asked Rachel and Monica to report back with details about eligibility and referral steps.
