"We're asking for another 90 day extension," Ben said, adding that staff did not propose any other changes to the agreement and sought to preserve a sense of urgency with a shorter extension rather than a longer one.
A board member moved the recommendation and a second was recorded; the board then conducted a roll call and approved the recommendation 4-0. Staff said the extension is intended to allow DOE time to finish its procurement and return final drafts for county review while the county continues to press for timely completion.
The board recorded no substantive amendments and directed staff to forward the recommendation to county council for action.
