Several councilors questioned the precedent of proceeding when a liaison or panel member missed an interview; staff said the panel debriefed with the absent liaison before making a recommendation and offered to reconvene interviews in other cases on request. Council moved forward with the vote tonight after the majority of the interview panel recommended a candidate.
