Committee approves minutes, staff enrollment request and DECA field trips
Summary

At the start of the Nov. 19 meeting the Northborough'Southborough Regional School Committee approved the minutes from prior meetings and several consent items.
The chair presented minutes from the Oct. 15 open meeting, Oct. 15 executive session and the Oct. 6 joint operational budget/capital planning meeting; the committee voted to approve the packet minutes unanimously. The committee also approved a staff-member enrollment request: Rebecca Duffy, a faculty member in fine and performing arts, requested that her son Finn attend Algonquin Regional High School beginning next year; the motion to approve was moved, seconded and passed unanimously.
Separately, the committee approved two DECA overnight trips: the Massachusetts DECA state conference in Boston (March 2026) and the DECA International Conference in Atlanta, Georgia (April 2026). The motions to approve the trips were combined and approved unanimously.
Why it matters: consent approvals clear routine items and allow staff to proceed with field-trip logistics and enrollment exceptions.
All approved consent items will be reflected in the official minutes.
