Northborough Traffic Safety Committee elects Kate Gerard chair; Brian Cole chosen vice chair

The Town of Northborough Traffic Safety Committee on Jan. 13 elected Kate Gerard as its new chair and chose Brian Cole as vice chair during the panel’s annual officer elections.
Members nominated Gerard for chair and held a roll-call vote, after which Gerard was declared chair. Brian Cole was nominated for vice chair and won a subsequent roll-call vote. The committee agreed to leave the clerk position open for now; members said Pam at the Board of Public Works has been handling minutes in recent months and Rachel will complete her current term before stepping down.
Committee members discussed that one member expects to be out of state seasonally and may not seek reappointment next year. There were no amendments to that procedural business.
The committee did not take any other leadership actions at the meeting. The next regular meeting is scheduled for Feb. 10.
