Fort Collins posts 2025 Voter Information Guide online, offers Spanish translation and printed copies

Fort Collins staff demonstrated the city’s new 2025 Voter Information Guide, which is available online and will be posted in Spanish tomorrow. City staff said the guide includes ballot questions with "what a yes vote means" and "what a no vote means," active links to Secretary of State resources and a sample ballot to help voters use ranked-choice options.

The presentation, led by city staffer Dylan, explained how residents can find the guide through the city's website and that ballots were mailed the prior Friday. "It is online. We are not mailing it to everybody," Dylan said, noting printed copies were delivered to all three public libraries and the senior center and will be available at city hall before council meetings.

Staff flagged ranked-voting guidance and sample ballots in the guide to reduce voter confusion. The packet also links to candidate web pages for mayor and council Districts 1, 3 and 5, provides polling center locations and answers frequently asked questions about registration and deadlines. Dylan said the city will post a Spanish version of the guide and a Spanish-translated ballot on the city website starting tomorrow.

Council members thanked staff for the outreach and for providing hard copies for residents who prefer or need printed material. The city attorney's office and communications staff were also acknowledged for their contributions to the guide.
