Tuscaloosa board approves minutes, consent agenda and superintendent personnel recommendations

The Tuscaloosa City Schools Board of Education voted to adopt its agenda, approved the minutes of the Dec. 16, 2025 meeting and passed the consent agenda items 9A and 9B, the board chair announced after calls for the question.

In a formal presentation, Dr. Cameron delivered the superintendent's recommendations on personnel changes and the supplemental list. He told the board the package included four retirements, one new certified hire, two new classified hires, a five-day suspension for a certified employee under the Students First Act, one part-time extended-day tutor, and athletic and academic supplemental adjustments for the 2025–26 school year.

After a motion and second with no set-asides, the board voted to approve the superintendent's recommendations. The chair called for votes on numbered items per board practice; the transcript records unanimous "Aye" responses and no recorded opposition.
