The Texarkana Planning and Zoning Commission held internal elections at its July 8 meeting and approved Anderson Neal as chairman and Boots Thomas as vice chairman by voice vote.
The commission also adopted the summarized minutes of its June 10 meeting by voice vote and set its next regular meeting for Aug. 12. Commissioners and staff briefly discussed an ordinance draft and agreed to place that draft on next month’s agenda after outreach and any response from stakeholders is received.
The chair closed the meeting after staff comments on a historic school preservation issue and the motion to adjourn carried.
